Clinical Workplace Assessment

 

Our clinical workplace assessments are designed for individuals with musculoskeletal conditions, disabilities or complex work related issues. Employees such as Mrs J, who had chronic low back pain, she had frequent periods of absence from work due to flare ups of her symptoms that she felt were related to her workstation arrangement.

A WorkStrong physiotherapist undertook a clinical workplace assessment of Mrs J. This involved a clinical assessment, job task analysis and an ergonomic work place assessment.

Analysis of the data obtained allowed the physiotherapist to provide Mrs J and her employer with a series of tailored recommendations which included specific advice to assist Mrs J in managing her symptoms at work. These were combined with relevant ergonomic and task adjustments which resulted in her having significantly fewer periods of absence.

 

 

The results of this intervention were:
